Originally from Florence, SC, Andy began studying piano at the age of 5 and at 12 he learned his first chord on the guitar and began teaching himself to play by ear. Andy started listening to Phish while at summer camp. The first song he heard was "Sparkle" and it reminded him of one of his favorite bands at that time: They Might Be Giants. He proceeded to dive head first into the album Rift and soon Phish's whole catalog often stopping to figure out songs on both piano and guitar to satisfy his vehement musical curiosity.  Eventually Phish would ride to the top of Andy's list of favorite bands a zone reserved for the likes of the Beatles and Led Zeppelin.

Throughout High School Andy played guitar in the West Florence Jazz Knights, and founded his first Rock and Jazz bands at the age of 14. While a Jazz and Classical guitar student at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA Andy co-founded Dimorphodon (an original funk-rock project) as well as Mr. Hand and the Spicolis (an 80's Tribute Band) and had a bi-monthly residency at the Legendary Venue Tipitina’s.

In 2005 Andy moved to Charleston, SC and co-founded many groups such as Space Armadillo, the Solar Circus, the Fifth of Four, , Maxwell’s Silver Jammer (Jam Tribute to the Beatles), Charleston, the Buddhist Prodigies (a Tribute to Phish), Mr. Holland's Oats (a Tribute to Hall and Oates), Beck to the Future (a Tribute to Beck), the Thrillers (a Tribute to Micheal Jackson), the Reflectors, and played with Dave Seitz and King Street Band for many years. Andy hosted “Sunday Phundays” at the Charleston Pour House from 2012-2017.

Over his career Andy has shared the stage with and collaborated with many bands and musicians including: the Dude of Life, Tom Marshall, DJ Logic, Joel Cummins, Andy Frasco, Rob Compa, Kris Myers, the Motet, Dogs in a Pile, Pink Talking Fish, DeadPhish Orchestra, Phix, A Live One, Ross Bogan, Kanika Moore, Micheal Quinn, Wallace Mullinax, Gavin Hamilton, Garaj Mahal, Funk You, Machine Funk, Psychedelic Breakfast, Atlas Road Crew, the Reckoning, Dan Caro, Derrick Freeman, Stockton Helbing, Elise Testone, Dr. Jimbo Walsh, Mark Bryan, Rodrick Cliche, Josh Roberts and the Hinges, Sexbruise? and many more.

Throughout Jennifer's life, there was never a time when she wasn't listening to Phish. Raised in Greensboro, NC, her father introduced her to Phish when she was young, and she was instantly captivated by the complex absurdity of both the vocals and the instrumentation. When she was 11, her family inherited an old upright piano, and she proceeded to spend many years learning to play songs by Phish, Yes, and the Grateful Dead. She began taking piano lessons, and a few years later she was accepted into Weaver Academy, a magnet high-school for performing arts, where she majored in piano. After graduating, she attended the School of Music at the University of North Carolina Greensboro, where she received her bachelor’s degree.

On the side, Jennifer records and produces her own music, having released a solo album as well as a number of songs with her band Fifth Species. She occasionally fills in on the keys for local Phish and Grateful Dead tribute bands around her hometown.

Karl Anderson was born in Massachusetts, just outside of Boston. As a result of his family’s appreciation for music and art, he was encouraged to pursue his interest in percussion at an early age. He was also fortunate to have access to drums and other instruments, and quickly began to demonstrate a talent and enthusiasm for drumming as a toddler.

By grade school, Karl’s parents had bought him his first snare drum, and he began studying rudiments and drum notation. By the age of ten, he’d had a few years of private instruction from acclaimed Boston area jazz drummer Carl Goodwin.

After receiving his first full drum set as a gift, Karl would spend afternoons playing along to albums of all styles. By his teen years he began playing in marching band, jazz band, as well as several rock bands while attending school in southern Maine. It was during this time that he became intrigued by the drumming style of Jonathan Fishman and the music of Phish, for their unique style, and fearless exploration of different genres.

One of Karl’s first experiences as a young concert goer was seeing Phish in Portland, Maine on December 30th, 1993, featuring the famous aquarium stage setup. By the end of high school, Karl had become proficient in rock and blues and began to perform in local bars and clubs. He continued to play a variety of popular music while enlisted in the US Navy, performing for personnel, military dignitaries, and civilians while deployed abroad.

After moving to South Carolina as a civilian, he quickly became active in the local music scene, and earned a reputation as an energetic and dependable performer. With over two decades as a working drummer, Karl continues to apply his passion and work ethic to drumming and musical fluency. His style incorporates the energetic and soulful rhythms of Funk, R&B, Hip Hop, Jazz and Latin music. Residing in Charleston since 2002, Karl regularly plays with local groups both live and in the studio.

David ‘DKat’ Katilius is a native of Greenville, SC. Formerly a classically trained pianist and percussionist, DKat picked up the bass in 2010 and graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA in 2015 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Electric Bass Performance. While at Berklee, he got to study with some of the world’s premier musicians including Lincoln Goines, John Patitucci, Victor Bailey, David 'Fuze' Fiuczynski, and Victor Wooten. In addition to his duties in Runaway Gin, he plays with Greenville Phish tribute project Adam Knight’s Buried Alive, and also writes and tours with the fusion group The Shady Recruits. David is also a live audio engineer and is currently the house engineer for Doc’s Tavern in Greenville, as well as freelancing at various music venues and churches around the Carolinas.

Dkat's first Phish show was the Raleigh 2018 show. He attributes his affinity for Phish to one of his dearest friends and Columbia/Charleston jam scene mainstay, the late Cory Takach. "Cory was a true Phish guru," David says. "He was the one who pushed me to keep going with [Adam Knight's] Buried Alive and dive deeper into this music, and that has blossomed into something truly noteworthy. Now, with Runaway Gin, I have even more opportunities to keep Cory's memory and passion for Phish alive."
